Bio: Lisa Hanes is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Nurse, and Certified Nurse-Midwife who has extensive experience in women’s healthcare, including providing clinical direction for two midwifery practices prior to her current perinatal psychotherapy practice. She specializes in treating people experiencing infertility, pregnancy/postpartum depression, anxiety, and adjustments, and relationship and parenting challenges.
Approach: Lisa’s background in nursing, midwifery, and psychology provides her with a unique skill set to support the psychological and relational components of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting for new parents and families. In addition to psychodynamic, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic modalities, she is also trained in the assessment and treatment of pregnancy and postpartum anxiety, depression, panic, and PTSD, the Gottman Bringing Baby Home guide for couples, and EMDR.
