Clinical Eligibility for Prenatal Care at Millie
If you answer “Yes” to any of the following questions, Millie is likely not a good fit for your pregnancy care.
Please note that these are not the only factors that determine your eligibility, and that all cases are subject to the review and discretion of our clinicians so we can ensure you get the best care possible. You are welcome to reach out to support@millieclinic.com with any questions!
Do you have any of the following chronic conditions?
- Autoimmune conditions (Lupus, Sjogren’s, multiple sclerosis)
- Cancer (active)
- Chronic kidney disease
- Cardiac disease
- Congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Some arrhythmias
- Complex or unstable psychiatric illness
- Diabetes, Type I or Type II
- Hepatitis, viral active
- Ok if carrier of hepatitis B without active hepatitis
- HIV
- High blood pressure requiring medication
- Hyperthyroidism requiring medication
- Para/quadriplegic
- Sickle cell disease
- Severe asthma requiring oral steroid medication or recent hospitalization
- Thrombophilia
- Any condition for which you were told you cannot have a vaginal birth
Do you have a HISTORY of any of the following?
- Blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, stroke)
- Two or more preterm births before 34 weeks gestation or one preterm birth before 32 weeks gestation
- Severe preeclampsia diagnosed before 32 weeks gestation
- Two or more cesarean sections
- Uterine surgery that prohibits vaginal birth
Do you have any of the following in your CURRENT pregnancy?
- Active substance use, marijuana ok
- Active tuberculosis
- Chronic placenta abruption
- Kell antibody
- Molar pregnancy
- Persistent placenta previa in third trimester
- Placenta accreta
- Pre-eclampsia without severe features diagnosed before 32 weeks
- Pre-pregnancy BMI ≥ 50
- Severe pre-eclampsia
- Severe polyhydramnios
- Twins or more
