We're hiring a part-time OBGYN for our new Bay Area Peninsula clinic — clinic and GYN surgery, no L&D call — collaborating with our midwives, doulas, and interdisciplinary team to deliver full-scope, equity-centered care to a diverse patient population and raise the bar for maternity care.

About the role 

Millie is seeking a part-time OBGYN physician to join our team in the Bay Area Peninsula greater area, CA.

  • 0.5 FTE, or 20 hours per week of clinical work, combined clinic and gyn surgery
  • No L&D hospital call 

We are looking for a physician who:

  • Is seeking an innovative practice with room for growth into leadership positions
  • Desires a collaborative, team-based environment with Certified Nurse Midwives
  • Has a minimum of two years of experience and feels comfortable with and enjoys independent practice

Your responsibilities

  • Function as a consultant to our midwives and co-manage moderate to higher risk perinatal patients
  • Provide complex gynecology care including office procedures and surgeries
  • Support our midwives in providing basic office gynecology services including medication abortion
  • Collaborate with other team members (lactation consultants, nutritionists, therapists, doulas, etc.) to enable optimal team-based patient care.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients

About you

We are looking for an OBGYN who has:

  • Board Certification. Must be eligible to obtain a CA medical license or be currently licensed to practice in CA. 
  • Current DEA license 
  • Comfort providing full scope OBGYN care
  • Experience working with Certified Nurse Midwives
  • A commitment to health equity and racial justice work

  • Commitment to reproductive justice and supporting principles of bodily autonomy, self-determination, and cultural respect

About Millie

Millie is reimagining the maternity experience for hospital-based births. We aim to provide complete, inclusive, and empowering care with better maternal health outcomes by employing a collaborative OBGYN & Midwifery model, as well as interdisciplinary care, and robust perinatal educational and psychosocial support. 

Our perinatal patients are supported by a Millie Guide (practicing doula) who prepares them for childbirth, postpartum recovery, chest/breastfeeding and newborn care. Our patients also have access to the Millie app, which includes an extensive perinatal curriculum. All of our perinatal patients have extensive postpartum support, including a postpartum home visit.
